When I first saw The Wonderful 101, it came off
as just a colorful action game. It was unremarkable to me at the
time, but mainly because it got swept into the undercurrent of the
many titles that came when the floodgates opened. It was easy to
overlook. The Wonderful 101 in the wake of many, more orthodox games
in its genre (and outside it). I lost my chance to get the game
when K-Mart closed its doors, and then eventually got another chance
to get it and experience it. This was a tough game to track down,
but when I finally did, it was worth it. It's amazing how close
to Viewtiful Joe this game is. It is a spiritual successor in every
way. It's bigger, badder, and innovative like a new Viewtiful Joe
game would have been. The Wonderful 101 takes undeniable inspiration
from Viewtiful Joe, as clearly seen in a variety of the game's design
and gameplay contents. Throughout my plays, I was able to find 101
Wonderful reasons how it is spiritually Viewtiful...
