Like Viewtiful Joe, The Wonderful 101 comes off as somewhat of a paradox. It's highly-detailed and distinctly-polished environments are populated by micro-sized, yet handsome and sexy inhabitants. The threats they face are menacing, furthering the desparity between the design styles and themes. Both players new and returning to Platinum's work might be surprised to see what seem like these cute characters fighting against rabid beasts and sexy anti-heroines. This is really a testament to Platinum's work, past and present. There aren't many developers out there who could meet that difficult medium. Immorta's black and pink heart outfit looks cute until the camera angles change, revealing that she's actually quite stacked. This is confirmed when her battle suit is destroyed upon defeat, exposing a bikini under it. Similarly, the shockingly well-endowed Vijounne caresses herself and is even referred to as a "cougar" in-game by Wonder-Pink. Like VJ before it, W101 is an enigma.
