There are a ton of great things about SFVAE, but there is one absolutely terrible aspect of the game that cannot be ignored. When I got SFIIT for SNES back in the day, I could still go back and play SFII. I enjoyed seeing the changes and differences. It was interesting to see the change in costumes, colors, stages, and even design changes on the character select and versus screens. When I brought SFIIT home and played it, SFII didn't suddenly disappear and/or become unplayable. But, why would such a scenario even be considered? You may ask this, but it's not far from reality. When you buy SFVAE, the first thing it does is completely replace SFV. Yes, it completely overrides it. Did you like the design of SFV? Did you like the balance? Too fucking bad. You're going to play SFVAE over SFV, whether you like it or not. And if you think you're going to just uninstall SFVAE and reinstall SFV from the original SFV disc you own, then you won't be able to play online. |

Fuck-off if you still want to play the original SFV and its balance online. If you want to play online, you're going to play SFVAE, and you're going to enjoy it (even if it's not enjoyable at all). Your freedom of ownership has been sacrificed on the "Quality of Life" buzzword bullshit altar. This term is used to trick consumers into forfeiting their first ownership rights. Why? Several reasons, but most boil down to laziness, greed, and social media mob fear. SFV and SFVAE obviously took a lot to make. Capcom takes painstaking effort into making every character look, animate, and sound as they should. It shows, and both games looked and sounded absolutely incredible. It shows they still got it. Decisions made with SFVAE, however, show that there are decision makers at Capcom who have little respect for the hard work of those designers or the fans who support them. Who cares about loyal designers or loyal fans, anyway? |
