That was quickly gone with SFVAE, though, making the it less-inclusive to its lush, detailed battlegrounds. So long, background artists! Between this change and wanna-be tournament players who only choose The Grid, your hard work and attention to detail has even less of a chance to be noticed! |

Oh, and don't forget, the airplane stage can't be used at tournaments, either! Again, yet another decision that was made for a select, vocal few out of fear. We can't just go and ban every stage that some small group doesn't like. There's a guy I don't like in the background of a certain stage. Is that stage going to be banned because I don't like it? If I convince the Twitter mob to go against it, too, then can it be banned? It's ridiculous to even think of such scenarios. The most important thing about this whole thing, though, is accountability. Why should everyone else not be able to enjoy something if I don't like it? If I get dizzy looking at something, it doesn't mean everyone else will. So, then, why is it that everyone else gets something taken away because of someone else? If I get dizzy looking at something in a game, or if I don't like the "suggestive" animation, isn't those my problems? Why should everyone else have to deal with my problems? |

The balance is suspiciously similar. Tiers are really polarizing and subjective. Some people say that tiers are correct, while others say that any character can be formidable. I believe it's somewhere in the middle. True, any character can be formidable. I have been absolutely destroyed by a F.A.N.G. player before, even though the character seems absolutely worthless to me. However, I did notice that my defeat was after a reported update where this particular character had been strengthened. Now, it is true that the player was incredibly skilled with an unorthodox, difficult character. However, it's also the case that no matter how orthodox, unorthodox a character, or how skilled or unskilled the player, a character will dominate if the programmers made it that way. That is, after a certain point, the player is really only as strong as the ones and zeroes of the programming that make the character function under the surface. The is actually not just a part of the balance, but possibly a part of something bigger. |
